Due to how important you are to us we have taken the time to put together this 2 week onboarding plan that covers off what's expected, and what you'll be working on in your first 2 weeks.

💪 We've scheduled some intro calls for you with people in and outside your team too - this is great for figuring out how the business works.

You won't know everything and be at 100% effectiveness in 2 weeks, and we're not expecting that. Everything here has been put together to help you succeed and excel long term 💪

At this point it is important to say that this plan is just a plan. Your role is fully remote and you will be trusted to work in a way that best gets the job done using your expertise. This plan is just to show you the ropes, and whilst we think you will benefit from following it, do not be scared to go off book. Use this plan as what to do when you don’t know what to do because you are new. If you see something that you think you should be working on, or asking about, do that and we’ll figure out the rest.

By the end of your first 2 weeks, you will... 📆

General:

• [ ] Know who is who in the team, and who to talk to with any questions or need for support.
• [ ] Be familiar with, and set up on, all the tools required to deliver your role.
• [ ] Have spent time with the wider team, getting to know people who you may not necessarily work with on a daily basis.
• [ ] Have asked at least one question you felt was silly or obvious.

Role specific:

• [ ] Have set your 'working hours' in Google Calendar
• [ ] Have updated your team's documentation/processes to improve the onboarding process for future employees - keep a list of improvements you've made or want to make to share in your 2 week retro
• [ ] Understand how our software delivery life cycle works.
• [ ] Have shipped code to production.
